How to design SEO and PPC search-term triage with evidence, confidence, approvals, and reversible account changes.
Collect intent and account context
A term should be reviewed alongside the matched keyword, query theme, landing page, campaign objective, geography, cost, conversion evidence, and available volume. Classifying the phrase alone discards the context needed for a useful decision.
Separate observations from actions
The system can label intent, detect emerging themes, propose exclusions, suggest page coverage, or flag ambiguity. Each is a different action class with a different evidence threshold; they should not collapse into one approve-or-reject recommendation.
Require review for material account changes
Show the exact proposed edit, affected campaigns, supporting rows, confidence, and likely trade-off. Batch related changes and make approval granular enough that a reviewer can accept the useful part without accepting the entire run.
Learn from reviewed outcomes
Record approvals, rejections, reversals, and later performance as workflow evidence. Use that history to improve routing and prioritization while keeping the reviewer’s reasoning visible instead of turning it into an unexplained rule.
